अम्बिकापुर 28 मार्च 2026/ छत्तीसगढ़ प्रदेश टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए नेटबॉल स्पोर्ट्स एसोसिएशन सरगुजा जिले की बेटियों ने 38वीं जूनियर नेशनल नेटबॉल प्रतियोगिता में शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए कांस्य पदक अपने नाम कर लिया है। यह प्रतियोगिता उत्तर प्रदेश के मुजफ्फरनगर में आयोजित की गई, जहां छत्तीसगढ़ की बालिका टीम ने अपने जुझारू खेल से सभी का ध्यान आकर्षित किया।
राष्ट्रीय कोच राजेश प्रताप सिंह ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि सेमीफाइनल में पंजाब के खिलाफ 24-17 से हार मिलने के बावजूद टीम ने हिम्मत नहीं हारी। पांडीचेरी को संघर्षपूर्ण मुकाबले में दी शिकस्त तीसरे स्थान के लिए खेले गए मुकाबले में छत्तीसगढ़ टीम ने बेहद कड़े संघर्ष के बाद पांडीचेरी को पराजित कर कांस्य पदक हासिल किया।
इस प्रतियोगिता में सरगुजा जिले से बालिका वर्ग में सिमरन भगत एवं रुद्राक्षी जैन का चयन छत्तीसगढ़ टीम में हुआ था। सिमरन माउंट लिटर ज़ी स्कूल एवं रुद्राक्षी मोंटफोर्ट स्कूल अंबिकापुर में अध्यनरत है। दोनों खिलाड़ियों ने अपने प्रदर्शन से जिले का नाम रोशन किया।
संघ के सचिव रजत सिंह ने बताया कि खिलाड़ियों का नियमित अभ्यास गांधी स्टेडियम स्थित बास्केटबॉल ग्राउंड में कराया जाता है। राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिताओं में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन के आधार पर इन खिलाड़ियों का चयन प्रदेश टीम में हुआ था। राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिता से पूर्व जांजगीर के खोखरा में आयोजित 10 दिवसीय विशेष प्रशिक्षण शिविर ने इस सफलता में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।
इस उपलब्धि पर संघ के के.पी सिंह, गौरव सिंह, सौरभ सिंहा, हिंमाशु जायसवाल, नेहा सिंह, खुशबू गुप्ता समेत सरगुजा जिला बास्केटबॉल संघ परिवार व स्कूल के प्राचार्य ने बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं प्रदान किया।
